four seams on improved mason

HI, take a look at this jar embossed " improved mason jar". It looks like it has four seams running up to the top, how is this one made? Is this toc or earlier? Is it a common?

The shot above shows a part of the seam directly above the "O and V" at the shoulder, the other is just to the left of the "I" but hard to see. This pic below shows how the seams at the shoulder are 90 degrees from each other. You have to take my word in that there are two other seams directly opposite these two.

And to help ID, here's the bottom. Its kind of smooth, but possibly pontiled. Anyone think thats what I'm seeing.
