My opinion is..........Anyone paying 5 figures and calling themselves advanced collectors should be making a face to face exchange. If you want to be an idiot and send someone money via internet (which we all know is not safe) then you deserve to be taken. I'm sorry but a $300-$500 dollar plane ticket is minimal when we are talking $10,000.00 plus for a bottle.

You can be an "advanced" collector but That does not make you a super smart, all powerful, omnipresent, rocket scientist. So please don't talk these people up and make them sound important because chances are, they are not even talking about themselves this way because it sounds pompous.

You'd be surprised how many people with money through it around like it's nothing, then want something done for free.... even when things are not a scam. I work at a wholesale travel company and we have an online booking engine... people will put their cc down for thousands on a booking THEY created themselves and when something isn't right about it they want it fixed for free... OR... they will get an error and it tells them to call us, but instead they just try to do it again.... then they end up with 2 bookings on our end and 2 cc charges... and sometimes that doesn't get caught in time to fix it without fees, but somehow it's our fault.
Be careful with your credit card online, people! We are an extremely reputable company, but we are not the supplier and if suppliers charge fees, it's not our responsibility to absorb them when you are the one who decided to override the error with a back-button and resubmit 10 times until your credit card runs out of money!

Just sayin'!

Many bottle scams have been coming from a prison lately, I forget the location though. It has been discussed on Facebook pages for many of the bottle collecting sites. These guys/gals get internet access and never stop doing the same stuff that got them put away in the first place...

Simple rule is if you cant afford to lose the cost of the bottle then only buy from known good sellers.
Anything else is bottle roulette.
Be careful out there its a crazy world.
