Says on length (. . . . land) (maybe SCOTLAND) and on pipe T D
It feels different then the other clay pipes, its black in color

Also found 3 Sawyers Crystal Blue Inc bottles. All nice but not much value. But they are the older ones. Worth $5 ? ? ?

Yah, pipe is Scotland...made throughout the 19th C.

AIEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. AUgggggggggggggggggh. Run. Sawyer's Crystal Blueing! Yikes.
We dig far too many of those from a 1920s dump. Many are still bluish inside. We chuck them all back.

Any value on the jars, pipe, etc?

Might make a shadow box of the pipes. Anyone else have ideas on displaying marbles, pipes ..etc...the smaller stuff...

Not that it matters but these are the older Sawyers right? I have yet to find anything over 1920 at this place.

Hey Ben, The jars all run about $8 to $10 or so unless there is other writing on the backs or bottoms. If you drank Florida Water you would probably go[sm=rolleyes.gif][][:'(][&:] it was toilet water for women { perfume}.

Nice stuff though.[:)]

Hi Madpaddla,

Now I understand why you let your kayak to rest and picked the shovel. It's not every day you find such beauties.

About the pipe, the only thing that I remotely know something, if anything, I could say that yes, it is rare to have a black one but only if it is made from black clay. Some of clay pipes become black after a long use and people use to put them in fire for a while and let the heat clean them.

Can't help you on values, but yes, those appear to be older Sawyers.

The 1920s ones we find are clearly ABM, and the text is one or two embossed lines straight across the heel of the bottle. Not arched or crude like yours.

I'd keep 'em if I found ones like those.
