Bought a wood case of 12 bottles at a garage sale today. 10 are embossed , two are Acl All for $2.50. After searching they have the Owen- Illinois mark. The embossed bottles read on the bottom. Circle with a triangle thru with an x, numbers are 47,3 and 1 with a dot. Acl bottle read zero with and I inside, 7,68. Are the embossed bottles from years 1941-1942, What years are the Acl made? Are these bottles worth anything besides what i payed for them?

Hey Shers, the embossed bottles are from before 1920 and are worth about $20 to $25. The acl {applied color label} bottles are worth about $10.

They aren't considered rare but the are not all that common either.

Hey Shers, Companys tried to make there bottles last as long as possible and it was a common pratice to put lables on embossed bottles.

Let me know if you come across any straight sided Coke bottles from the late 1800s or early 1900s.

The Kewaunee and Sheboygan bottles should bring a good price if they are in good shape. Mabe $20 or $30. Odd names sell better.
