If there is faceting it will be dead center maybe a quarter inch area or so. I remember reading somewhere that faceting was only seen on the older Onions. So, your may not have any.
I'm fairly sure it does, I'll try to get better pics tommorrow.... I'm pretty sure I'm seeing grinder marks....

Nice pic . Not seeing faceting, but not a big deal. I read somewheres that the faceting (grinding of) the pontil area was done at the place of distribution ( say England) rather than at the factory ( say Lauscha Germany) .

so the value stays the same? 150-200? have you seen anything that may distract from value on this marble?

If it were mine I wouldn't part with it for under 125.

If it were mine I wouldn't sell it. What a beautiful marble and what a great size. Looks like 36.55mm is about 1-3/8" diameter. Great pictures BTW.

RoadDog thank you for all your help!!!

Dan thank you for converting 36.55 mm to 1-3/8" for me.. I'M STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE CALIPER.. So if anyone can tell me the proper way to measure the marble ..I will remeasure it.. btw I have a digtal caliper

Thanks again!!!

My digital does both metric and english. I would think yours probably does. It is 1.4389 inches.
yes I have both on my digtal also, so would you round this off to 1-1/2'?
