I do not know why it is shaped as it is, but I am glad he posted a picture of it, I had never seen one of them till now, one neat bottle and a great added asset to the list of vintage bottles.

That is probably one of the best English poison bottles known to exist. Look up Rob Goodacre, he's a great guy and very knowledgeable on good English poisons. He will be able to give you some good info, and I'm sure he would enjoy hearing about your bottle. ~Jim

Looks to me like that bottle was made so that it would not tip over......PTB
