British glass makers were using older techniques very late, sometimes difficult to date British bottles by an applied lip, black glass or general crudity. I have a British black glass ale with an applied crown top lip. Something you'd never see on an American bottle.Once you zoom on the lip you can clearly see that it's applied. Late blown in mold applied lip. Likely British or Empire so hard to tell if before or after 1900 as they were not nearly as quick to go straight to ABM when the machines came out. Great color. Good window piece.
