67 Ford F-100 with a 289

Got a pretty good deal for all 3 last week. You know how it is.....went to look at one came home with three. I'm glad the wife wanted them too or I would have been in trouble!!

I'd LOVE to have the '67 / 289......I used to have a much loved and much admired 1969 F250 4x4 that had a 240-6 stock....I soon cured that illness with a 1966 289 that had 111,000 miles and 111 oil changes in that time...it absolutely purrrrrrrred. It would start with just the barest touch of the key. It had exactly 3 wires running to the engine: Coolant temp, oil pressure, and coil. Used to buy points at AMES dept. store, and change them by cigarette lighter light, used a matchbook cover to set the gap. God how I miiss old Rusty.
Modern engines have ZERO on the Ford 289.

Looking at the pictures, I think the '67 has a newer grill in it....looks like 71-72 to me....mine had the aluminum barred grill.

My family back in NV has a '64 with a 390. Dont know the status on it, but they may be wanting to unload it. They are trying to sell off all the cars they dont need now that my dad died the other year and nobody to keep them running.
