Got an older pepsi ACL today. Where do I go to get a book or info on collecting ACL's. Been wanting to for some time and this started the ball rolling.

Congratz Cheryl,

Is it single or double dot? The courtesy bylaws of the Pepsi Collectors Club dictate that you share a photo with us.

Here's a book, though It may be missing some brands.

I'm sure some of our more knowledgeable Soda Folk will have further suggestions.

Not sure what I am looking for here on my first Pepsi.

It has DES PAT. 178917
18128-G?
It has an I with a tall circle around it and an 11A.

I am a newbie to soda's so any help is always appreciated. Here are a few pics.

check out how many ounces then search
http://www.ca-yd.com/textfile/bottles/ACLWEB_P.HTM
this site under pepsi, some have pictures some have but look at the descriptions, yours has script logo on one side and block on the other
# of ozs and descript may help narrow it down, thinking its in the 1950's heres one I have in my acl collection

Just for the record here is a double-dot Pepsi Cola. Compare it to Splante's and you should immediately see the difference. Mine is dated 1947. Your bottle is more than likely 1960s. The date of yours should be on the base in the form of a double-digit number like ... 61

I think it is a 1959. There are two numbers together on the left side of a circle with an I in it. Those numbers are 21 or 27. Then on the right side of the I with the circle around it, it says 1959

Correcto mundo! That would be an Owens/Illinois bottle from 1959. The insert below will give you a better idea of the maker's mark and the various code numbers. I assume you noticed the double-dot vs. the single-dot between the words "Pepsi : Cola"

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks so much. Yes, I have a one dot bottle. Thanks for taking the time. I love sodas and am pretty excited about my first one.
