Green Bottle in some type of crate

Can anyone tell me what kind bottle i have found it isnt in some type of barrel looking crate with the number of 503 on it . I am knew at this and this is one of my first finds

They are typically called carboys.

I think the crated ones were often used to transport things like volatile liquids, acids, and other chemicals.

Looks like a demijohn to me with a barrel around it rather than wicker.
