Any one have any idea of approx. value of this flask. The cork is still in it and there is grainy type material inside I don't want to disturb it. It is my understanding there are reproductions around. I know this is not. Green eagle / cornucopia flask great shape. finally got some pics. It looks brown but it is green, not sure if olive or dark green

I'd like to see some pictures of it, hard to say without. They can range from around 120 and up to 250 depending on color, condition. I collect them and might be interested if you are trying to sell it.

Like epack said, it needs to be washed well fist. I can't ID it with the pictures, it's in the GII category. Maybe the content could be saved for later but be careful getting the cork out and doing it. It looks like it was reused, maybe for herbs?Anyway, you really can't say "great shape" until that's done. Those are common enough that any defect will reduce value considerably.

Amen that! Whatever value it has will be diminished considerably if it has a lip chip.

judging from the color, and what appears to be heavy body wear I would put it around 150, I would personally want it just the way it is and not cleaned out but some pictures of the surface would be important also to see if its scratched up. Also very important if there are any cracks, chips even the smallest flake of glass missing. I'm interested in it after confirmation of these condition issues.

Thank you all. I welcome any more info as well. I am not in a hurry to sell this. I am trying to get opinions on it. It appears to be sought after and hard to find. I am armature at this, but the flask doesn't have any chips that I see. Scratches would be hard to see with the dirt/ grime on it. The bottom does look scratched from use.

If you could take some pics with the light reflecting off the surface instead of behind the bottle, that would better show both its exterior condition and strength of embossing. Sorta like you did on the picture of the bottom. Pretty color. I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of it either!
