Is this a Hemingray "bullet"? Which CD? Height about 3 5/8". What would be value of one this color, avg. or good condition? I dug this yesterday from a 1880's-90's privy and it has major damage.
Are you sure it's HEMINGRAY or can it be H.G. Co.? Any embossing at all? It looks like a CD 134 but could also be a CD 162. 134 in that color = $50-75. 162 H.G. Co. = $40-50. Being Smooth Base (no drip points) it's probably not a HEMINGRAY in that color.
Try turning it 90 degrees so we can see a different profile.
it looks like it could be a hemingray cd-134 with the dec. 19th 1871 patent. 1880-90's is the right time for one of those.
Bullet usually refers to cd-132 or 133.4's, perhaps you might call a 134 a signal
It's really tough to tell from the photo, but my gut's agreeing with Brains here. Looks like a 134 Pat Dec 19, 1871, but I'd want more photos or an in-person viewing before coming to that conclusion for certain.
