friend picked this up the other day. the research showed he owned the former Catasauqua Brewery from 1902 -1904. i've seen and dug a lot of Catty bottles in my day, but never one of these. anybody in here have any information??

thanx,

jim

thought i'd try again today........ any of you Lehigh Valley/ Eastern Pa. people ever seen one of these?? we're both from Catasauqua. we cut our bottle digging teeth there in the 70's, and none of us ever heard of this bottler before. came after the catasauqua brewing co. and before Lehnert's. was in the same building. thanx in advance.

hI Jim,

Wow! bottle looks great. what oxide did you use? That bottle is indeed rare. We have one. I was told they are the only two known but that may be a slight exaggeration. The bottle your friend picked up was on display at the Catty library for awhile but the previous owner passed away. Your friend got a deal I think! Even with the small chips I expected it to go higher. Nice find and nice job on the tumbling. Ann

Sorry I should have added a little history which I sent to the seller that sold this. H. H. Rice fell in between the Catasauqua Brewery and Lenhert in the same brewery building on Railroad St. in Catty. It was not in existence very long. Only two years I believe which is why there are so few bottles to be had.
