I found this at the bottom of a small round bricklined on Sunday. At first I thought it was a Dr Jaynes Hair Dye, but after cleaning It reads: ???? R'S / ???? ID / HAIR DYE. Thanks for looking.

no problem. They turn up pretty often, I think they sell around 20-30 bucks a bottle.

Jim,

I love shards (of course whole bottles are better) and keep most so I am able to analyse the pottery/china/glass ratio to help pinpoint the age of the pit. Although the pit I found this shard in contained only shards, I was thrilled to find pontil age at the bottom.

Hey Tom,

How about: Peter's Liquid Hair Dye?

"Square, 2 3/4", rolled top, no panels, O.P., aqua, side: "T.H. PETERS & CO." side: "LIQUID" side: "HAIR DYE" side: "NO 2"

Surf,

Thanks for the research, that T H PETERS is the bottle I want to find whole! Looks like I found the bottom to the much more common Bachelor's Hair Dye.
