Listen, Buster... That's enough outta you... Don't forget, I know where you finished High School... I'll have Mr. Johnson put your butt in detention till H freezes over...
Find any bottles while you diggin' all that snow????
Yes Woody, I went to Washington Jr too....It was (of course) MANY years after that though!! hee hee ....well, actually, to be exact, it was more like just a couple years later, 8th and 9th grade....1972-1973. I don't remember that teacher though....oooops....there I go givin' my age away again...yup the bell bottom days!!!!!
PS Did you go to the "Candy Bar" and get the Big bumpy suckers or would that be Lolly Pops....and sometimes you could win something if yours had a little tag on it-or something....?
PSS Across the street is Old Central High....sure would like to take the Metal Detector across that yard!!
I remember Central High school across the street from the junior high school.
I only lived in Duluth for two years as my Father was stationed at Capehart Air Force base while he went to Viet Nam.
We lived on base housing near some old folks home that raised hogs.
Junior High was kind of dumpy with long hallways and I remember it being more than one floor.
I remember they had good smelt fishing there, though, on Lake Superior.
Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone.
I had a good day yesterday and don't feel a day over 50.[]
yup, the Junior High certainly was a dump & the "base housing" has been upgraded and I believe they are kinda like "condos". The old folks home (Cook Home), that was a farm, is no longer there, except the barn....another cool place to go dig around....
"The Cook home was established in the early 1880's as the Poor Farm or Almshouse Hospital and Tuberculosis Sanitarium (1909) under the supervision of the St. Louis County Commissioners."
