This is for all you Hawaii collectors on the forum. I've noticed something on eBay when searching for blobs and hutches. The vast majority of blobs/hutches I see on from Hawaii are in amazing condition. They all seem to have no haze, stain, scratching, etc., are all strongly embossed. Is it something in the soil? Not saying I'm jealous... Okay, maybe a little... [:D]

Just search "hawaii bottle" on eBay and see the results. All the hutches are spotless! What gives, guys? Leave some nice bottles for the rest of us! [:D]

Most places out here are pretty wet. Not much heavy minerals in the ground so no real deposits. Volcanic soil is pretty acidic too. Makes for some nice clean glass.[;)]

There is a few places that I've dug in some of the dry areas around the Island and I do see the haze.
