Hello. First let me say thanks to everyone for their replies on my other post. You have all been a big help. Does anyone know what type of bottle base this is or where it comes from. The bottle is a extremly dark green wine/champagne type with an applied banded collar. Thanks everyone. HOHOHO MERY CHRISTMAS!

Does it have seams? It looks like a turn mold. If that's the case it just happens by spinning the bottle in the mold. Depending on the bottom of the mold would determine if you get a pattern or not.

Over here in Oz we often find plain (unembossed) wine/porter/beer/spirit Etc. etc. bottles with a base like that in dark green/black glass from the 1880's til about 1900.
