Can anyone help me with info on this insulator? It appears to be porcelain and is all black. There are no threads, just vertical grooves. It measures 3 1/8 x 3.

Thanks,

Ralph

I have no idea. My only guess would be something off of a substation maybe. I have seen a lot of weird looking insulators from substations, thats the only reason I say that.

It's a neon sign insulator. They turn up from time to time. Typically I've seen them sell for around ten dollars, but they're not a quick-moving item. Most collectors are more interested in pin types.

Thanks Bixel and BillinMo. No wonder I couldn't find a CD number for it!
