Sorry I had to do it that way. ANYWAY, the bottle is 11 3/8 tall and 3 3/8 across at the base. There are no markings as far as numbers or letters go. It has no seams on it at all and the color is a very light purple. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way I couldn't figure out how to upload the pics either so I just posted the link. The pics in the other two albums are irrelevant but you can view them if you wish, there is a bottle in one of the others but it ain't old.

Nice looking bottle. It's what many call a back bar whiskey. Probably 1880-1900. It must have seams, they're just hidden in the pattern and end before it gets to the tooled lop. I would guess the value at 10-20 just because it's not marked and clear. You never know though, it could surprise you.

Thank you for the info. I can now put this bottle back on the shelf and display it. This thing has been driving me nuts. I have searched high and low for somebody who had one like it to tell me what it was. I hate having a bottle that I can't at least put a name or description to. Thank you very much.

No problem, I just hope I'm right and someone doesn't come on with a labeled shampoo one. Well, not really. As long as you get the right answer, that's what's important.

Hey Jeff, Welcome to the forum. I beleave Eric is right. It's either a back bar or part of a fancy home decanter set.

Let me help drive you a little more nutz. Whole sellers passed out fancy tops for those bottles. Now all you have to do is find one.[sm=lol.gif]

This is a pic of a Lewis 66 top.

The bottle may have been fire polished after molding to remove the seams and give the surface a nicer lead crystal look.

Hi Jeff, That looks very similar to the Hayner's decanter I sold on eBay a few months back... I read in some whiskey collectors guide it was a give-away if you bought 2 bottles and a third of another one of Hayners whiskey products, you would receive the decanter approx.circa. 1900.. Hope this gives a clue! Taz

Thanks for all the help. I would love to find a top for it. This probably isn't my most valuable bottle but it is my favorite. The pictures don't do it justice. It has the nicest purple hue to it in the light, it's almost like a color I've never seen before. Thanks again for the help and now that I've found this forum I will try to help anyone else if at all possible. I'm not that knowledgeable about the bottles yet but will help if I can. Happy digging.

Hi Jeff, I am a pattern glass nut, so that looks like a pattern (pressed glass)
bottle. The panels look to be curtons(drapes) tied back. And quess you are aware
the bottle has turned color from the sun. Somtimes called Sunglass.(used to be clear)
