Help with date of this perfume bottle

Bottle bottom says McKelvy
Can’t seem to find anything like it online and would love to have approx date

It's definitely got a 1950s-60s look to me. Did that come out of the water with the labeling still mostly intact? I wonder if that's actual gold leaf lettering in that case, standard ACL paint would be pretty unlikely to survive in those conditions.
