Have any of you actually "dug" a demi? I have had many dreams of digging one (or more) but have only found parts. T.

I bury a 25 liter demi full of homemade wine every year, in the floor of the wine cave on the hill where the grapes are grown.. in Transilvania.. done it 6 years in a row, now.. never dug one up.. but my mother in law says there's demis full of wine buried all over the hill, some are lost and could easily be over 100 years old.. true story!

I have been lucky to dig two now, one dark lockport green iron pontil (first pic) and one larger about 3.5 gallon light olive green open pontil, the rest of the stuff in the pic is other items that came out of the same hole as the larger demi

a few days ago. He's a cool guy. To each thier own. I'm afraid to post there since I might accidently utter forbidden words like sale, price, or value and bring down the wrath of the treasure censors on my poor aged butt.

They have many loyal members and people from this forum post there so it must have some redeeming qualities. I just find the flat format a bit combersome.

those are some beautiful demi's... dont see them as often. Possibly early American, New England, New Jersey, late 18th early 19th century...

pretty valuable as far as demi's go
