I came across this in and old barn. It is a 1 gallon Pepsi Jug. I believe that it is 50's because of the logo. But all of the 1 gallon jugs that I have seen do not have the Pesi Logo embossed on the bottom. Any verification or other info would be appreciated.

Thanks again!

Thanks, yeah the 1 gallon jugs that I have seen are manufactured by "Duraglas". I appreciate your comment.

screlichunter -

The manufactuer's mark with an "I" inside an oval (with no diamond) is from the period 1954 - 1959.
The digit 8 on the right indicates 1958 is the date the 8 was put on the mold and presumably the date of bottle manufacture as well.
Here is an article that explains the various dating systems for Owens-Illinois bottles. It also includes a list of Owens-Illinois plant numbers (in your bottle's case, the number 14 on the left of the I in the oval mark).
