Cyberdigger: Nice looking brown & tan 1910-early 1920's era stoneware merchants jug. Exciting to find an intact one of these, however not a big buck item at flea markets or antique malls/co-ops unless there is stenciled (but esecially cobalt blue script) advertising on front.
Generally the more local, and small townish the location, the more desirable the jug is. Stenciled from New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago, etc. usually go for $35-$50. More localized, stenciled small town jugs can reach $60- $125. Earlier, esp. beehive shape cobalt blue script merchant jugs can reach $150-$400+ value of these being less dependant on specific location. I'd expect a nice condition, plain conical jug like yours would be somewhere in the $20 range. Most people buy them for their distinctively primitive looking decorator value.
Of course just my .02 cents worth of opinion. I'm sure others will do the same. Best regards.

Sorry Danny, I mistakenly replied to cyberdigger instead of to you. Too early in the morning I guess. Anyway, hope the reply is of help. Best regards.
