Hey Tom, Most of the early ones were paper lable but I have seen Hires bottle fully embossed on the sides. It seems like I remember reading that the paper lable bottle embossed on the bottom only was the oldest but I am not positive.

It was put up in soda bottles in the late 1800s, crown top only.

Hey Tony, how ya doin. Yeap the are just as common.

Yeah, The fishin season never really closes down here but it starts gettin really good in March and April. There aint nothing wrong with gettin outside and gettin some fresh air and exercise man. When you get older you will wish you had more time for it.

Those are the oldest Hires bottles from th late 1800s. The one with the script is the oldest. Not really worth much I'm afraid. I had several and I gave them to my mom and they were broken in a flood.
but I will probably dig some more.

Hi those two hutches are very common, worth maybe $5 or less. The only way they could be worthing anything is if it had the paper label on it and even those you see from time to time. You can't open a book from the 1890s without seeing a Hires ad in it, they were very very popular.

Here is the oldest tall Hires bottle I have. It’s a mold blown crown top that says Hires Carbonated Beverages on the front. The stopper is also marked Hires. I picked the screw nut stopper up off ebay last year but it looks pretty cool and still works although it is not the type for this bottle.
