I might be way off, but could this be a homeopathic vial?
Maybe late 1920's? (Probably way off on date also.)
It's 5" tall and around 1.5" at base.
Any info would be great.
Thanks,

I am not an expert on this type of bottle, but here is two pages from a 1906 catalogue that shows bottles very similar to yours.

Probably a little earlier, that ring on the base is from an early automatic bottle machine. The ring disappeared as the machines were perfected. Of course some companies kept the old machines longer than others, but I would guess 1905 to1915.

I agree that it’s a homeopathic vial. I found one last week that is 3.5” tall. I believe mine was dropped in the forest between about 1918 and 1920, which interestingly was the time of the Spanish ‘Flu - I wonder if the contents of mine related to that.

To explain more, my metal detector lit up on a spot by an old rail bed where I’ve been finding items from 1901 to 1920 (nothing more recent). In the exact same spot as the vial, I found ten brass buttons, a pocket knife, two 1918 Canadian cents, a brass CPR switch key, a collar stud, one of those pencil eraser brass connector thingys…and a few feet away, part of a pocket watch. The rail worker’s vest itself had long since dissolved into the forest. I think it was lost during deactivation of the logging rail.
