How do you go about digging a privy? Some relatives in Maryland just bought a new property that has at least two privys. I'm only 16 so I'm not exactly sure how to go about it.

If you found thier location and you have permission then you already have done the hardest part[] there are many people on this forum who can give you tips and probably a few who are near you. Rule #1 Be careful , any hole deeper than your waist can be dangerous. Watch out for buried utility pipes and cables, you can call miss utility and they will mark where stuff runs... http://www.missutility.net/
