Hi, It's nothing fancy but I was wondering about the finish. Since they had some yummy melted down meat in it I don't see where they sealed it. The neck is 1 1/2" and the top 3/8" looks tooled on the outside only. Anyway hav'nt had any luck finding any info so thanks for any help. Don

I have actually see one with an aluminum cap, and underneath the cap was a rubber plug and what felt like a waxy substance. I think the cap was just for protection of the stopper.

Yup, corked and capped like the whiskey's. The cap was also a shot or dose cap and kept the cork from falling out. Quite a few did that.S&D LO bottle and embossed S&D cap.[attachment=s&d.jpg]
