How old is this bottle

I was wanting to know about this bottle. It has honest measure full pint on the side. I know what honest measure means and all that but how do I tell the age. I went digging and found alot of these in my basement. It has a wide strap like feature on both sides. Thanks for anyone who can help. I have found alot of bottles in the basement and would love to find out how old they are.

I would say your bottle dates to the 1890s. Below is a web site that will help you date bottles. There is a ton of information on that site but if you look around you get a general idea of how to date bottles.

Hi JSN, we get similar ones to the one in your photo over here in Australia, but usually of a lesser volume. They contained spirits or wines, and can be found in most Australian states.
