Hi everyone! I'm brand new to the forum, I actually joined just to seek the help of the knowledge of the forum if possible about a bottle we found. My father found this bottle buried under our house. I have searched online and I haven't found too much information about it. The bottle of the bottle indicates this was a from a Dr. Pepper bottling company in Raleigh, NC. Does anyone know more about this bottle or company? I thought it was interesting the bottle advocated for safer driving. I thought at first this may mean it was an alcoholic beverage, but advertising for not drinking and driving on alcoholic beverages seems to be a more recent invention. Thanks for any help or information!

that's an interesting bottle , I highly doubt it contained anything alcoholic . it was common back then for bottles to have fancy images on the back . I have a bottle from that time period that has a picture vintage movie theatre person and think a lot of pop bottles used that space to try and be different or show something to appeal to customer .I also have a bottle that shows a " wine glass " on front and for a blended beverage but this was only a pop bottle not ever alcoholic .don't know anything about that specific bottle but its likely from 50's-60's period .

I was thinking some more about the " lets concentrate on safe driving " add and maybe it has more to do with driving in general than drinking and driving . cause those old cars from 50's era weren't as easy to drive and didn't have cup holders yet , one could only imagine how unsafe it had been to drive and drink a glass bottle of pop at same time . as you wouldn't of been able to drive with both hands and have no where to put bottle
