Found an obscure mention about Edward Hutmacher as a partner of Henry Durholt (soda) Co. in 1869-1871 and by 1872 listed as a grocer along with a brother. No further mention and nada on Richter. I've dug my share in Quincy and never found a shard, and likely as mentioned previously a very short existence. I would consider rare. There is at least one other specimen known for this information, but damage was noted. Also described as a short necked and 6 7/8" tall. Yours looks like a long neck and likely taller? Also marked with A&DHC. I would agree with the 1867-68 period, as it fits well with later partnering with Durholt when it failed. ps- definitely a soda......

Great information. The detective work can be tedious but also extremely rewarding. The members of this forum are stellar. Thanks! Falconer
