I hear a lot of you talk about wanting winter to be gone so you can dig but i have to wait until winter because of summer growth everywhere, bees, snakes, ticks, etc. how do you do it

Have you guys considered snorkling? Find a likely place where people don't swim that much, where there used to be a hotel, motel, speakeasy, saloon, hospital, or even just houses...
You can stay cool, bee-free, and, well, the LAND snakes will leave you alone, though I know some states have water-snakes...[]
