I just thought I would get back in the loop by asking for input. But first my story, the short version. We Left northern Idaho for southern California on Labor Day. I Got there on Friday sicker than I’ve ever been. After spending a week in the hospital having my Gall Bladder removed and then recuperating for 2 weeks, I’m back home, still trying to regain strength. I lost 20% of my blood and 15 pounds in the process. The trip was not a total loss, bottle wise, though. On the way south we stopped in Virginia City, Nevada to look around at the old architecture. We went into an old timey junk, rock, bottle shop not really expecting to find anything. Virginia City has coughed up some of the most fabulous bottles in existence but those days are about gone although I’m sure there is lots of true treasure left in the ground. Anyway, this shop yielded a wonderful visit with the old owner and one (1) bottle I thought worthy of bringing home. It is shown below and in a second post.I know it is French Mustard embossed: LOUIT FRERES & Co / BORDEAUX, has an outwardly rolled lip, an open pontil and dates from the 1850s -60s period and no damage, just a little stain. My question is about its approximate value? I know there was someone on this forum who specialized in these but I believe they are now inactive. I will search eBay and all that but wanted to share my latest find anyway. This bottle is For Trade if anyone is interested. BTW, I paid $12.00 for it.

Here's the last 3. I have lots more to trade from a summer of searching.

How are you feeling now??????????? That sounds awful.
As for the bottle, pretty cool. I'm amused at how your focus is predominantly on the bottle, rather than your health-- so it would seem.

Hey Robert, thanks for the kind thoughts and yes, it helps heal things if one doesn't mope around. I am healing lets say that. Took more out of me than I thought but the blood loss & some residual pain is causing the healing to go slower than expected, mostly just tiredness. I'll be focusing on listing some bottles here and on eBay to keep my mind off things. I looked on eBay and this particular bottle should be worth in the $35+ range being undamaged and pontiled.

I'll be praying for you. I am also glad you have a good way to cope with it. I can't imagine how that went...

Dang, Mr. Jim. I was wondering what had become of you. Glad you're back and doing better.
