It does have a significant pontil. The bottles that are embossed that I dug up with it date back to 1865 - 1885.The Home I bought was used as a general store and Pharmacy from 1840 to 1950. I am only scratching the surface so far. I am only 12 inches under the clay cap of the outhouse which is about 7 ft down. Good news is I am finding pre 1900 bottles and I just got under the clay cap. so the older bottles are coming the pre 1860 bottles ...
