Well and old friend that I have not spoke to in 5 years contacted me and said that he is a new man and back digging again. He asked if I would give him another chance and come up and dig with him. I thought about it for a few weeks and decided that YES what the hell everyone deserves a 2nd chance, so 6AM on the 4the of July and 95 degrees temp. I headed up to put a big hole in the ground. And put a hole in the ground we did. I forgot to take my camera fro the truck so no action shots but I will tell you he started 1 hole and I started another about 30 feet from him, We dug down about 6 or 7Ft. and combined our holes, then we continued down to 12 to 14 feet! a lot of work and a lot of sweat. at about 10feet it was like working in the air conditioned. at the end of the day we each got some keepers. Here are mine. I hope Matt sees this and shows us his.

And my last picture. This one survived 100 years or so in the ground and STUPID me cleaning it dropped it and that's all she wrote....... Was a cool little sample from Lowell MASS. It said on one side SAMPLE C I HOOD & CO LOWELL MASS. and on the other side it said TUSSAND CURES COUGHS. I guess I will have to go dig another now[:(]
