Hi group, need more help. Picked this piece up today at antique sale. I can see no mold lines or markings. Plenty of little seed bubbles in almost clear glass. Seems to have a very light sage green tint to it. It measures 2 1/4" tall, 2 1/8" across the top and 1 7/8 across the base. The cone shaped opening going down from the top is about 1" deep.

Appreciate any help offered, Reid

Hi Reid: I don't know what happened - I was typing and the post went away.
It looks like a nice ink-well.. Is there a pontil mark on it? I have some inks, but not that type. Without mold seams the glass must have been blown in a dip mold and turned. Can you see any rings like it was turned? I am sure others will know more about it than I do. RED Matthews

Thanks guys. Red, I think you may have it pegged because there are definitely swirl type lines around the piece. They can be seen (faintly) in the first pic. Here is a better pic of the base, very rough. Is there a book on ink wells and bottles?
