Here are some interesting yet worthless pieces of glass for your perusal on a rainy day, the first two pics are of something I think is from an early battery or a lightning rod setup, I dug it in a 1850-1880 area, the other one was found in a very early part of town, I think it must be from the 1840's.

Damn, That broken threadless really hurts. It's a CD 737.9 and it would be worth like $2000 to $3000 if it was in mint condition. The other piece is interesting also, definitely looks like a lightning rod insulator, but I've never seen one like it.

I'm not convinced the top piece is an insulator. I've never seen radiating ridges around a hole like that before. At first glance, it reminds me of a percolator top more than anything.

The bottom photo shows an awesome find!! Similar hats were made (if I remember right) at Mt Pleasant Glass in New York. It might be from the late 1840s, but I'd guess 1850-1860ish -- not that it makes any difference on something this old! Hope you're able to keep searching around that area!

The clear thing may not be an insulator, but it's old, there was a rolled lip gin in the layer above it and pontiled bottles around it. The area where the black glass one was is now gone, that's the only bit of one I ever saw before.
