I am an educator who has done an archaeological dig with my 4th grade students. The site wedid our dig at was a pre-1900 dumpsite. We found many old bottles, including this old Heinz Ketchup bottle. According to our research, it was manufactured and distributed between 1889 and 1910. We also read that Heinz started using the octagonal shape starting in 1890. So I assume this bottle was used in 1889. Is this correct? I could not find any bottles in this shape for sale on eBay. Is it a rare bottle?I'd appreciate any insight or information anyone has about this Jamie Kamlet
