Hate to be a pain but can you get a better pic with more light so we can see the Proper color? It would be best if you went outside or put on window sill so the you can use the natrual sunlight..that way it will be the true color of the jar.... artifical lighting sometimes don't show the true color the the glass

I would think it's special but it sounds like RB 1712. Shows about $10. I'm not sure if that's the lid also but I'd guess so.
Looks real good, I hope I'm wrong.

Looking closer, that's weird. It looks like a midget opening and a standard thread. I'm not changing my mind, just saying it's weird.

the screw on top with glass lid was standard for the jars of that time period from the midgets to the 1/2 gal. here is a clear one (a quart) with correct glass lid and band(yes a #1712 value 12-15. I got this one for 4)

Hello wolfe; My summer home is about 50 miles south of Clyde NY. I have been collecting their products and studying the factories history for a few years. It is a nice jar and I would be interested in purchasing it - if your plan to sell it.
That goes to you also coreya. Thanks for posting this coverage. RED Matthews
