I am obsessed with this bottle. I can't figure out why. I dug it from a spot where I have pulled literally over 50 other bottles that I like too: Multiple Varieties of South Carolina Dispensary bottles, Various Charleston Beer Blob Tops, Medicines etc. This one though is my favorite. It is 11" tall. It has a wonky neck with swirls. The Blob has bubbles. I like it. So my question is...Is it a good bottle? Bottles are new to me ever since I started this digging spot as all previous digging yielded maybe 6 bottles. But >50 has given me many to look at. Let me know what you think. It is a big bottle- and I think it is a beauty- I am just curious what all of the "pros" think. Thanks!

Here are pictures of the rest of the bottles I dug at one house downtown. The ones on the shelf are all Different brewing companies and various unmarked bottles. The ones on the floor are more medicines, distillery bottles, a torpedo, and some others.

Nice finds, those bottles are pretty old too. I like the blob, I guess the pontil would be polished or ground? It all depends on your ideas of what of what a "good" bottle is, probably worth around $10 in value terms. If it had embossing it would be worth more, but I keep any bottle I find that has a pontil.

I see some others that holds more interest for me , but I may be jaded , I have been in this so long now , that it seems the only bottles that hold my interest are the ones I have not dug yet .

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is doubly true when it comes to old bottles. For my eye, I like the SCD jo-jo flasks. Nice start to a good collection.......Jack
