Here is mine. My father has the one like in the ebay auction with the frosting behinde the script. The ebay one is a little more greener than usual. But not enough to make it worth more than its $40 value in the Ayers guide.
I agree it's real. They really didn't standardize their bottles until the 1940's. Most of these are from the 1930's and very early 1940's and the bottle used was very much left up to the bottler themselves.
If I recall right they nicknamed this style Pepsi bottle a War Pepsi be cause of the shortage of glass at the the time this style bottle was produced due to the amount of glass used during the war .
By the war they had already started standardizing the Pepsi bottles to the vertical embossed pepsi cola repeated around the bottle. There will still hold outs, but for the most part these bottles are from the 1930's.
