Hello everyone - this is a great website and I'm very glad to find such an awesome resource on the web! My wife and I go to dozens of garage sales, flea markets and antique stores every month and I'm frustrated at how little I know about bottles. I'm trying to learn what's rare and what's not so rare and that's why I'm excited to find this site.

I've attached photos of what I've been calling "a bottle" ever since I bought it at an estate sale a couple months ago. I've taken it to several local antique stores, estate sale administrators, etc. and have yet to learn anything about this item. I'm hoping someone here can give me a clue as to what it is, what it was used for and why it's decorated in the "motif" that was used.

Thanks for looking at it!

Here's a better photo with multiple shots merged into one. It shows the makers mark and other angles of this piece.

Thanks again!

I would guess a modern decoration piece with no other use then to look pretty. I think its more or less a bottle vase. Looks like something you'd see in Big Lots or a second hand retailer. That's just my opinion. Swiz

Neat looking piece but I too doubt it ever contained anything. Maybe someone will recognize the mark to help you date it.
This is a good site to learn about bottles. I am from south Texas and there are some other Texas collectors on this site that are closer to your area.

Looks like a history of flight commemorative. It may have been issued for the 100th anniversary of the Wright Bros.. I'm sure it's after the last date of 1929 but don't know why they didn't go to modern flight, they had a whole other side to decorate. I don't know the mark but I can't quite make it out.
PS; Happy birthday
