Well folks, I finally did it. I got tired of all the excess around here and put 47 lots on eBay tonight! Now let's see how much eBay has changed in the past few months!

If interested, go to eBay and searcg for DUMFRIES and you'll see them (lots of bottles there!).

hope you set a decent starting bid because sometimes ebay is hit or miss and when you go digging all day id hate to see you get a miss and have to give away your valuables for 99 cents!

Yep, I've got all of them priced at good starter prices. The pipes, for example, I used to sell at the shows for about 3 to 4 the starting bid, but those days are behind me now. The personal inks, at one time, I could sell for $5.00 each. Etc., etc. However, the bidding is way down across the board and there are some guys in England who have swamped the market with things they claim to be of the Civil War period, but they aren't even near the period. Complaints to eBay are useless.

So I'm just waiting now to see how eBay performs.

Oh, I had 1 guy who kept listing their bottles as being Civil War. I wrote him and got no answer, but I have since gotten tons of junk e-mails for Viagra, etc., and most of them don't even know how to spell. They come from a friend of his. Of course, these e-mails are caught by ISP and what's not is caught by my computer by daily updating.

As for starting the bids low, I don't have much cost to any of the lots, but that's still a reason for starting the bids at their prices. I figure that any knowledgeable person would recognize a bargain!
