I picked it out to be a birthday present on Ebay. My mom got it today and was horrified to see it had arrived broken. It wasn't valuable monetarily, but I really liked it for several reasons. So, she brought it home and we've contacted the seller who is willing to replace the bottle with a similar piece, or potentially refund it. It was a John Graf bottle from Wisconsin. Quite the cute little thing, really. Perhaps he'll let us keep it--not worth anything in this condition, right? It was shipped via the postal service. We must avoid that for now on. I liked it for all that embossing, the fact is says Graf (I have an obsession for zeppelins, particularly the Graf Zeppelins,) the Not To Be Sold on it, The Best What Gives, and the mug-base.

Tyler, it was supposed to be double-bubble-wrapped (two sheets of it,) but one sheet was lying unused in the package. The box was a standard Priority Mail U.S. Postal Service box. I don't know how they ship from WI to MI, but if it was an airplane, I'm really not surprised. They broke one of our luggage cases once in travel. Really they should just ship via a cross-lake ferry. It's only an eight-hour boat-ride. The box shows one fold in it, hinting at being hit into something, but that means little, really. His feed-back is mostly good. The one negative feed-back is about the product itself, not how it arrived. He'll be getting a positive feed-back from us soon as our next piece arrives intact and well.

I've been in that same situation many, many, way to many times. Had one guy on ebay recently send poorly wrapped broken bottles, Then the Idiot kept sending poorly wrapped replacements that kept arriving broke repeatly. I kept stressing the point wrap them good & he kept shipping poorly wrapped. Sometimes people even send bottles wrapped in a single peice of newspaper in a envelope. Poor inadequate incompetant packaging seems common with fragile glass bottle. LEON.

That looks absolutely horrible! When I select another one, I will ask him to wrap it better to avoid that. He says, "In years of shipping, I've never had this problem."

I got plenty more pics & broken bottles just like that. Clown told me same thing, never had a complaint of broken bottle in years of sending them, but he sent me 3 broken bottle packages in a row, maybe 4, lost count. LEON.

I hate to sound so rough, but it's really hard to believe that people can be that stupid.

Here it is after I hand-cleaned it. It appears the other owner never did; I always clean my bottles of algae and dirt. The final cracked piece broke away. What you can't see are the before images as I didn't target how dirty it was. But you can see the algae's all gone and it has not any real visible staining. Even the stopper says John Graf.
