This one is unembossed except for the bottom, which says:
SB & GCo 6
My bottlemarks list says it is Streator Bottle & Glass Co., Illinois, 1881-1905.
The seam stops at the lip, and there are a couple of bubbles.
Can anybody tell me if it was wine or beer?

It seems like a wine would be olive or black, so I'd say it's a beer.

I think the #6 & the #12 are just mold numbers that the company used internally. If your bottle is as plain as mine, I would guess the value is less than $5, but it's still a hundred years old & fun! [:)]
