Well, I paid out the backside, but being completely unexpected ... I could not resist. [attachment=f1.JPG] "Success To The Railroad" And Steam Engine Historical Flask, Lancaster Glass Works, Lancaster, New York, 1830-1850. Aquamarine with an emerald tone.Sheared mouth - tubular pontil scar.Pint; (slightly weakened mold impression). Fine condition. If anyone has any suggestions to update or improve my description .... much appreciated. [attachment=f4.JPG] I've had chances to purchase "at an estate auction" the version of this bottle with a horse and cart, and one of those is running on Heckler's (Current Bid: $600) ending today. The steam engine mold variety of this Lancaster Glass Works flask has eluded me in person until now. RJ

Highly unlikely, although I'll know for sure when I show it to Norm Jr. (Heckler) the next time I see him.(Or when I sell it at the bottle show in Buffalo this weekend.)

If you just bought it why do you want to sell it? LEON.

So I can buy the three Drake's / 1860 / Plantation / X / Bitters I've been eying up .... buying and selling is part of collecting to me. The more I buy and sell, the more I upgrade my collection at no cost. Why else?

Man, I wish I could come across something like that at a yard sale. Beautiful flask.

We will be in NY in a week - for the summer, and I have a lot of things to sell, from antique boate to old engines, to al lot of demijohns, and advetizing bottles, and lightniing rods and rod balls. At 86 things need new homes before I go, No doubt some bucks could help with the satin lined bed box for me. RED M.
