Hey All,

I posted these on eBay a week ago and looks like I may have to adjust the listing somewhat - a few lookers but no bids! [8|]

Topusmc,

Nervousness? I guess 'cause I have a fair bit invested in this batch. It's taken me the better part of 2 years and a wad of cash to get these all together and am afraid of taking a loss on them. Anybody else have comments/recommendations on the listing? I really want to sell but I have about $300 in this set already.

Given the current market for the bottles, I'm hoping that it'll go for over $500 but maybe I'm pricing myself out of the market. I've only sold a very few items on eBay - I buy more often than not.

Hi Brian,

I personally don't care to list items with a reserve. I feel that people put items up for sale because they want to sell it right?[:D] I know reserves are used to protect a particular investment but for low end items it is not good.
I've had some of my best sales starting off low with no reserve.

Also the bottles you have listed do not have the local bottler listed on them. I don't think they are worth collecting with out them. The bottler is what makes them unique and collectable otherwise its just a generic bottle.

I hope this doesn't disappoint you but I'm just being honest. look through the bottles and see if any has the bottler on them. The carriers you have are neat and maybe worth selling with out the bottles. I know I would be interested in one to hold mine.

Heres a pic of one of my dug local 7-ups with the local bottler on it.

I agree about the reserve. I have sold alot on Ebay and always start at .99 with no reserve. I think a reserve scares people away. I listed an old vintage toy at .99 and sold it for over 1500.00.
Good Luck!

Thanks for your input and suggestions, Folks. I plan on re-listing the items individually, without a reserve and a low starting bid. Rockbot, I'll be checking for any and all markings now - thanks.
