now can ask at the antique store for a specific bottle. EBay's shipping is alittle expensive. Thanks again
I'd go with a milk bottle. You can probably find one from Adamstown or very nearby. Maybe her hometown? It will also accommodate the stone on the ring which I believe should be 2 months salary so don't even worry about the $10 ebay shipping.
They make great vases also for later.
Anyway, congrats!

I don't wanna sound real picky but the milk bottle is almost to big to keep along the lines of the "wine bottle" for the message in a bottle story. And she's not getting a big ring yet. I have a great girl. She told me its not the size of the ring but the meaning behind the ring.

Boy, this brings back memories for me. I put her engagement ring into a Mason Jar (MCFJPN3058) and buried it in the yard, we have an old house. Then we went to the local nursery and selected a shrub, which just happened to need planting, by some chance, where I buried the jar with the ring.
While she dug the hole, I was getting the shrub from the car to the spot. Yup, I made her dig up the ring.......and we are still together after 20 years.....

Aww, I love that kind of stuff... : ) You could make your own antique label for the bottle personalized with names and dates given. <3 star

A little update I was gonna buy the tall bottle epackage offered me but my girlfriends friend actually found a glass bottle at an antique store yesterday. I had to buy the cork and modify it some. Here's the bottle
