Thanks

Never seen one. I wonder if it was made and shipped by Nathan Wood & sons of Portland Maine? I bet it was. Wood was in biz in the 1840's I think...so it's possible..Notice it is called "wood's" at the top of this label...

I've never seen one, or one with a name anything like that.

Chris, cool little bottle....is that a rocket in your pocket????? or just a fountain????

sorry

Im sure you guessed this already but I would bet it held some kind of soda extract, like root beer but could of easily been a med/soda too like the early cokes were promoted. Wonder what the flavor/recipe was?

Got wood???
There were quite a few Woods.

The N Wood in Maine already meantioned.

J S Wood in Albany (dr j s wood's elixir albany n.y.)

Wood in Bristol Tenn (Wood's Female Medicine Wood Drug Co. Bristol,Tenn)

PROFESSOR WOOD the hair Doctor

S C Wood in N J (DR WOOD'S SOOTHING SYRUP S.C WOOD & SON TRENTON, N.J.)

Wood's from Buffalo (Wood's Norway Pine Syrup Foster, Milburn & Co Buffalo, N. Y.)

It was a pretty common name. Yours may or may not have been one of them.
Most likely a local bottle since it appears pretty rare anywhere else.
