Can anyone tell me something about this bottle? It is green aqua glass, and stands around 8 - 10 cm high.

Marne's was a chemist in Sydney, I've seen one of these before and I've dug a "Marne's famous aniseed cure" that's about all the bottles I know of from the company. I think they are fairly hard to get but hopefully someone from NSW will know more.

Thanks Irish.

This is a good example of what oddities are available in your "local" dump. This bottle is from New South Wales, and my "local" dump is in a suburb of Adelaide.

It brings up a question - how did it get to where I dug it? Sydney is well over 1000 km from here. Apart from trying to answer the question, which is really academic, it shows that there is always the chance of finding something in your "local" dump that you least expect.

I guess the message is to keep digging!

Thanks again
