mason's jar with cross

A friend of mine dug this one around an old home stead in the ozarks last year we know nothing about it.I dont have small enough picture to post. Its small clear blue color glass, with dimples all over like the mold was hammered, the lettering looks like it was hand carved into the mold not perfect like a stamp.It also has a cross on side with the letters fjhco.Its very thin glass but in perfect condition. any information will be helpful thanks

The jar is also embossed "Mason's Patent Nov. 30th 1858" as well? The Cross can be above or below "Mason's Patent" or on the reverse. The letters stand for Hero Fruit Jar Co., jars were made between 1888 and 1900. Redbook price in aqua is $4 - $6.
